Membership in the American Tree Farm System provides:

What is the cost of membership?
Membership fees vary based on the size of the property and management status. Contact one of our foresters to discuss the fees.
Will I receive a higher price for my timber if I am in Tree Farm?
Tree Farm is recognized internationally as a viable certification for small landowners. We know that some mills require a percentage of certified timber in their products, particularly paper mills. However, these mills have not indicated an obvious price premium for Tree Farm certified timber.
I am already in Tree Farm, what is the difference?
In the past, the SC Tree Farm Committee administered a program largely focused on recognition. Many landowners enrolled at no cost through various channels but lost touch with the program. Typical sponsors of the program also reduced funding during the Recession. Our firm provided inspectors but generally took our marching orders from the State Committee.
The SC Committee decided in 2014 to pursue a fee-based certification program. With the increased scrutiny and effort required, our firm decided to take control of the certification process for our clients. Our Members enjoy one point of contact and confidence in achieving their certification goals.
Do I receive a different level of service through Tree Farm membership?
Our forest management philosophy and expectations align with those of Tree Farm by default. Our foresters will manage according to Best Management Practices and the best interests of our client.
